Irish reform group calls for ‘Holy disobedience'
A group calling for reform of the Church in Ireland is re-launching with a
campaign for "holy disobedience". The Irish branch of the international Catholic
reform movement, We Are Church, wants to see the removal of compulsory clerical celibacy, ordination
of women, the welcoming of gay Catholics and the divorced and remarried. On 27
November the group, which currently has 100 members, will hold an Advent
Assembly which coincides with the introduction of the new English translation of
the Missal which it describes as a "forced imposition"....
